Seasoned sustainability professionals, Tosin Leye-Odeyemi, Head, HoldCo Risk, Sustainability and Capital Management at Stanbic IBTC Holdings Plc, and Adewole Lawal, Group Sustainability Lead at EverCorp Industries, have confirmed as keynote speakers for the 2026 MediaConsortium CSR Impact and Excellence Conference.
The conference, now in its second edition, is scheduled to hold on May 15, 2026, at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), 10 Nurudeen Olowopopo Drive, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos, beginning at 10 a.m.
With vast experience in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practice, both speakers are expected to bring several years of expertise in sustainability to the event. Their keynote presentations are expected to set the tone for discussions at the conference, which will be further expanded during a panel session featuring distinguished experts in the sustainability and corporate responsibility space.
The conference, themed “Beyond Profit: Redefining Success Through CSR and Sustainability,” is organised by MediaConsortium, a business, brands and marketing publication. It aims to deepen conversations around corporate social responsibility and sustainability, while highlighting how organisations can leverage these frameworks to drive both organisational growth and societal development.
The event will also recognise and reward outstanding individuals and organisations that have made significant impact through CSR and sustainability initiatives.
Leye-Odeyemi currently serves as Head, HoldCo Risk, Sustainability and Capital Management at Stanbic IBTC Holdings and is also a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Stanbic IBTC Trustees Limited. She has over two decades of professional experience spanning governance, capital management and sustainability.
Since joining the Stanbic IBTC Group in 2002, she has held several leadership roles across Internal Control, Compliance, Investment Management, Finance, and People and Culture. In April 2022, she assumed her current role where she leads the Risk, Capital Management and Sustainability teams within the Finance function, helping to drive stronger governance, operational efficiency and value-driven decision-making.
A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and holder of the FSA credential, Leye-Odeyemi also holds an Executive MBA from Lagos Business School.
Lawal, on the other hand, is a sustainability professional with over 13 years of experience in ESG advisory, facilitation and capacity development. His professional experience spans several sectors including financial services, oil and gas, mining, fast-moving consumer goods, agriculture, telecommunications and energy.
He has extensive knowledge of major ESG frameworks and standards such as the IFC Performance Standards, World Bank Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Guidelines, Equator Principles, UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), UN Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), as well as globally recognised reporting standards including the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).
Currently serving as Group Sustainability Lead at EverCorp Industries, Lawal supports subsidiary companies across the energy, financial services, and food and beverage sectors in driving their sustainability strategies.
He is also a Certified Lead Auditor for Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001), Certified Lead Implementer for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (ISO 45001), Certified Lead Risk Manager for Risk Management (ISO 31000), and a Certified Governance, Risk Management and Compliance Professional (GRCP).
Lawal holds a B.Sc and M.Sc in Sociology from the University of Ibadan, an M.A in Global and International Social Policy from the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom, and an Executive MBA in Strategic Leadership from Quantic School of Business and Technology, United States.
He is also a recipient of the Commonwealth Scholarship Award, among several academic and professional recognitions.
