Oyebanji Joins Shettima, Governors to Honour Abdulrazaq, Commission Kwara Projects
Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, on Thursday joined the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, GCON, his fellow state governors and other eminent personalities in Ilorin, Kwara State, for a series of events marking the recognition of Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.
Oyebanji was among dignitaries who attended the turbaning ceremony of Governor Abdulrazaq as the Sardauna of Ilorin, an honour bestowed on the Kwara governor in recognition of his contributions to the development of the state and his leadership.
The Ekiti governor also joined other dignitaries for the commissioning of the Kwara State Garment Production Village and the inauguration of the Kwara Revenue Building.
The events provided an opportunity for governors, political leaders and other stakeholders to demonstrate solidarity with Abdulrazaq, who also serves as Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF).
Oyebanji’s presence further underscored the cordial relationship between Ekiti and Kwara states, as well as his commitment to fostering cooperation and unity among leaders across political and geographical divides.
The Ekiti governor has consistently advocated collaboration, inclusiveness and people-oriented governance, with his bridge-building approach earning him goodwill among political leaders and stakeholders beyond Ekiti State.
The gathering in Ilorin brought together leaders from across the country to celebrate Governor Abdulrazaq and witness the commissioning of projects aimed at strengthening economic activities, revenue generation and job creation in Kwara State.
Oyebanji’s participation was also seen as another demonstration of his support for fellow governors and his belief in constructive inter-state collaboration for national development.
