Nigeria Customs Service Releases Final Recruitment List for Assistant Superintendent of Customs II (ASC II)
Abuja, Nigeria – July 27, 2026 – The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced the release of the final list of successful candidates in its 2024/2025 recruitment exercise for appointment into the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Customs II (ASC II).
The Service urged all applicants who participated in the recruitment exercise to visit the official Nigeria Customs Service website at www.customs.gov.ng and/or consult selected national newspapers to verify their recruitment status and obtain detailed information on the next phase of the exercise.
According to the Service, successful candidates will also receive official notifications through their registered email addresses and SMS messages containing instructions on the next steps of the recruitment process.
As part of the onboarding requirements, successful candidates are expected to log onto update.customs.gov.ng using either their National Identification Number (NIN) or their registered email address to upload a valid Medical Certificate of Fitness obtained from a government-recognised hospital.
The Nigeria Customs Service further disclosed that the portal for uploading Medical Certificates of Fitness will become active on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, and all successful candidates are required to complete the upload within one week of the portal’s activation.
In addition to uploading their medical certificates, candidates are required to accurately update their current state of residence on the recruitment portal and formally accept their provisional offer of appointment by clicking the “Accept Offer” button.
Following successful completion of these requirements, candidates are advised to await the issuance of their Trainee Identification Number, which will be communicated within one week. The Service noted that additional information regarding documentation, physical screening, screening venues, dates and other requirements will be communicated through its official channels in due course.
The Nigeria Customs Service emphasized that strict compliance with all outlined procedures and timelines is mandatory. It warned that failure to complete any of the required stages within the stipulated period may result in disqualification from the recruitment process and forfeiture of the provisional offer of appointment.
On behalf of the Nigeria Customs Service Board (NCSB), the Comptroller-General of Customs congratulated all successful candidates on emerging successful in the highly competitive recruitment exercise.
The Comptroller-General expressed confidence that the newly recruited officers would uphold the core values of the Service, including professionalism, discipline, integrity and patriotism, as they embark on careers dedicated to safeguarding Nigeria’s borders, facilitating legitimate trade, enhancing national security and contributing to the country’s economic development.
The Service reaffirmed its commitment to conducting a transparent, merit-based and credible recruitment process and encouraged successful candidates to remain vigilant against fraudulent individuals or groups claiming to offer assistance or influence in the recruitment process. The NCS stressed that all official information regarding the exercise will only be communicated through its official website and other verified communication channels.
