LG Unveils Football-Themed Home Entertainment Campaign with Free DStv Stream Access
LG Electronics Nigeria has launched a new consumer campaign aimed at transforming home football viewing into a more immersive and rewarding experience for fans across the country.
The campaign, which runs until the end of July, offers customers who purchase selected LG Smart TVs from 43 inches and above a complimentary two-month DStv Stream subscription. Available at LG showrooms nationwide, the initiative is designed to give families and football enthusiasts easier access to live matches, sports analysis, and premium entertainment content from the comfort of their homes.
As football continues to unite millions of viewers, LG says the campaign reflects its commitment to creating shared experiences through innovative technology. The company’s OLED and QNED television ranges are central to the initiative, delivering ultra-clear picture quality, vibrant colours, deep contrast, and smooth motion designed to enhance every moment of the game.
Powered by LG’s webOS platform, users can seamlessly access thousands of apps, live TV channels, streaming services, gaming platforms, and personalized content recommendations through a simple and intuitive interface.
To further connect with football fans, LG is collaborating with DStv’s Social Corner programme, where leading sports analysts discuss match highlights, tactical moments, and football culture. The partnership reinforces LG TVs as more than entertainment devices, positioning them as central hubs for shared experiences and fan engagement.
Customers participating in the campaign will also have opportunities to win exciting gifts during showroom visits, adding extra value to their purchase experience.
Speaking on the initiative, the General Manager, Home Entertainment, TV Division, LG Electronics Nigeria, Mr. Choongbae Seok, said the company remains focused on innovation that strengthens human connection.
“At LG, we believe technology should create moments that bring people together. Through our partnership with DStv Stream and the capabilities of our webOS platform, we are delivering an experience where football becomes more engaging, personal, and memorable for families and friends,” he said.
LG noted that its webOS platform has remained a key driver of the company’s smart entertainment ecosystem for more than a decade, offering users access to over 4,000 apps and content services globally.
The experience is further enhanced by LG Channels, which provides users with free access to live and on-demand entertainment, including movies, news, sports, and lifestyle programming directly on LG TVs.
According to the company, the campaign reflects its broader vision of delivering complete home entertainment solutions that combine cutting-edge technology, seamless connectivity, and meaningful consumer experiences.
