LG launches smart dehumidifier to tackle rising humidity in Nigeria
ABUJA — LG Electronics has introduced a new Dual Inverter dehumidifier with ionizer for homes and businesses in Nigeria, aimed at addressing rising humidity levels and improving indoor air quality.
Speaking at the launch in Abuja, Head of Corporate Marketing, Paul Mba, said the appliance can remove up to 30 litres of moisture daily, helping to curb mold growth, protect interiors and enhance comfort.
He noted that the product is powered by LG’s Dual Inverter Compressor technology, which adjusts to real-time humidity levels to ensure efficient performance while reducing energy consumption.
Also speaking, Assistant Product Manager, Yeeun Kim, said the dehumidifier offers a practical solution for Nigerians dealing with excess moisture, adding that it promotes healthier living conditions and safeguards household items.
The device is equipped with a HEPA H13 filter to trap dust, allergens and airborne bacteria, while operating quietly at about 33 decibels, making it suitable for homes and offices.
Product Specialist Trainer, Gbenga Ogunbayo, disclosed that two models — 34L and 28L — are available, both featuring smart controls via LG ThinQ technology for remote monitoring and operation.
On availability, Moustafa Kharis of Fouani Nigeria Ltd said the product is now in showrooms nationwide, with after-sales support provided through its retail network.
The launch underscores LG’s push into Nigeria’s smart home and wellness market, with solutions tailored to local environmental conditions.
