Access Bank Plc has recorded one of the biggest wins by an African financial institution at the 2026 Euromoney Awards for Excellence, securing 16 prestigious honours that reinforce its growing reputation as a leading force in global banking

The awards, announced on Friday, recognised the bank’s outstanding performance across customer experience, digital banking, SME financing, sustainable finance, corporate responsibility and market leadership in several African countries.
The accolades, regarded as one of the highest honours in international banking, reflect Access Bank’s sustained investment in innovation, responsible growth and customer-focused financial solutions.
Among the honours, the bank emerged as a leader in corporate responsibility in Angola, Botswana and Nigeria; digital banking in Cameroon; customer experience in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Kenya through the National Bank of Kenya; SME banking in Ghana, Nigeria and Zambia; sustainable finance and ESG leadership in Rwanda and Zambia; while also winning the Best Bank awards in The Gambia, Sierra Leone and Zambia.
The achievements underscore Access Bank’s successful transformation into a pan-African financial institution with an expanding global footprint, driven by strategic investments in technology, financial inclusion, sustainability and operational excellence.
