Ooni of Ife Congratulates Governor Oyebanji on Re-election, Prays for Successful Second Term

The Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji, on Tuesday received His Imperial Majesty, Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, at the Government House, Ado-Ekiti, on a congratulatory visit following the Governor’s resounding victory in the recently concluded Ekiti State Governorship election.
The royal visit underscored the cordial relationship between the revered monarch and the Ekiti State Government, as well as the importance of collaboration between government and the traditional institution in fostering peace, unity, and sustainable development.
During the visit, the Ooni of Ife offered heartfelt prayers for Governor Oyebanji, asking God to grant him divine wisdom, sound health, strength, and guidance as he prepares to commence his second term in office. He prayed that the Governor’s next tenure would be peaceful, impactful, and marked by unprecedented progress across all sectors of the state’s economy.
The foremost traditional ruler commended Governor Oyebanji’s leadership style, describing him as an Omoluabi Governor whose humility, inclusiveness, respect for culture and tradition, and commitment to the welfare of the people have earned him widespread admiration beyond the boundaries of Ekiti State.
The Ooni also expressed appreciation to Governor Oyebanji for the consistent support his administration has extended to the traditional institution, noting that such respect for traditional rulers has strengthened cultural values and enhanced harmonious relationships across communities.
Reaffirming his goodwill towards the Governor and the people of Ekiti State, the Ooni pledged his continued support for the administration’s development agenda.
