SULTAN OF SOKOTO EXTENDS CONDOLENCES TO BAMANGA TUKUR’S FAMILY
The Sultan of Sokoto and President General, Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), His Eminence Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, CFR, mni, has expressed deep condolences over the passing of former Governor of the defunct Gongola State (now Adamawa and Taraba states) and former Minister of Transportation, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur.
The Sultan described the death of Alhaji Bamanga Tukur as a great loss to his family, Adamawa State, Nigeria and the wider community of public servants and statesmen who contributed to the development of the country.
His Eminence recalled the deceased’s long and distinguished service to Nigeria, noting his contributions to the public sector, business and political development of the nation, especially as former National Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The Sultan urged the family, friends and associates of the deceased to take solace in the fact that Alhaji Bamanga Tukur lived a long and impactful life in the service of humanity and his country.
He prayed Allah, the Almighty, to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased, reward his good deeds with Al-Jannatul Firdaus and grant his family, Adamawa State Government, colleagues and associates the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
