Miva Open University Commissions Kaduna Study Centre, Strengthens Student Support and Community
Abuja, Nigeria – 16 September 2026: Miva Open University has officially commissioned its new Study Centre in Kaduna on Tuesday, 15th September 2026, marking another step in its commitment to expanding access and creating physical touchpoints for engagement throughout students’ academic journey.

The newly added study center located at Ungwan Sarki, provides Miva students in Kaduna and surrounding communities with a dedicated space to access student support, engage with fellow Miva Stars and participate in activities that enhance their learning experience.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Professor Tayo Arulogun, Vice Chancellor at Miva Open University said: “The launch of our Kaduna Study Centre is another step towards making education accessible and bringing the Miva experience closer to more students. We recognise that accessibility goes beyond providing an online learning platform; it is also about creating opportunities for students to connect, engage and receive the support they need. Kaduna is an important part of this journey, and we are excited to welcome our students and the wider community to take advantage of the new centre.”
According to one of the students present at the ceremony, Fareedah Misbakhun, a Master of Information Technology student, the launch of the centre will enable a more seamless study experience for her. In her words, “As someone who loves to read outside my home, in a quiet environment, having a centre in Kaduna that provides me with such an opportunity is a very beautiful development for me.”
The Kaduna centre joins Miva’s growing network of Study Centres across Nigeria, following the recently launched centers in Uyo, Abeokuta and Ibadan. Its establishment further expands Miva’s physical presence across the country and marks another milestone in the university’s growth.
The expansion follows Miva’s growing student population and footprint, strengthening its capacity to serve students across different parts of Nigeria while maintaining the flexibility of its online-first learning model.
