MediaConsortium Unveils NIMN President, Glo Executive as Speakers for 2026 Conference

The organisers of the MediaConsortium Conference and Awards (MCCA) have announced the President of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN), Dr. Bolajoko Bayo-Ajayi, and the Head of Digital at Globacom Nigeria, Yinka Opadere, as lead speakers for the 2026 edition of the annual industry gathering.

Scheduled for Friday, September 18, 2026, at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos, the fourth edition of the conference will commence at 10:00 a.m. and is expected to attract leading voices from the marketing, media, business, and technology sectors.

Dr. Bayo-Ajayi will deliver the keynote address, while Opadere will serve as the guest speaker at the event, which will focus on the theme: *“The Value Shift: Strategies for the New Market Reality in the Age of the Empowered Consumer.”*

Building on the success of the 2025 edition, this year’s conference seeks to examine how businesses can adapt to a rapidly evolving marketplace shaped by digital transformation, economic shifts, and increasingly informed consumers.

According to the organisers, the theme reflects the changing dynamics between brands and consumers, as customers now wield greater influence over purchasing decisions, brand perception, and market trends.

The selection of Dr. Bayo-Ajayi and Opadere underscores the conference’s commitment to delivering practical insights and strategic perspectives on contemporary marketing and consumer engagement. As President of Nigeria’s foremost marketing regulatory body and a leading digital marketing executive respectively, both speakers are expected to provide valuable perspectives on navigating the new market reality.

Their presentations will be further explored during a panel session featuring top industry professionals, including Adewole Lawal, Group Sustainability Lead at EverCorp, and Okey Umurhowho, Marketing Director at StarTimes, among other experts.

Organised annually by MediaConsortium, a leading publication focused on marketing, branding, and business, the MCCA has grown into a respected platform for thought leadership and industry engagement.

The 2026 conference is expected to bring together business leaders, corporate executives, marketing professionals, brand strategists, media practitioners, policymakers, entrepreneurs, technology innovators, students, and emerging professionals.

Speaking on the significance of the event, the organisers noted that businesses are operating in an increasingly complex environment where consumers now play a central role in shaping market outcomes.

“The business environment is changing at a breakneck pace, and the consumer is firmly in the driver’s seat. We are excited to have the NIMN President lead the conversation this year. Attendees can expect actionable, high-impact strategies from a stellar lineup of Integrated Marketing Communications professionals who understand how to navigate this new market reality,” the organisers said.

In addition to the conference sessions, the event will feature the prestigious MediaConsortium Awards, which recognise organisations and individuals making significant contributions to customer engagement, corporate innovation, brand resilience, and value creation.

With a carefully curated programme of keynote sessions, panel discussions, masterclasses, and networking opportunities, the 2026 MediaConsortium Conference and Awards is poised to serve as a major platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and strategic partnerships across industries.
